Yacht Rock Wines has launched two amazing sparkling wines!
Combining two of his favorite things, music and wine, Peter Beckett, founder and lead singer of Player, known best for their iconic, international #1 hit Baby Come Back, has launched a new venture. Yacht Rock Wines has partnered with musicians from the 70s and 80s to produce quality wines that celebrate the songs that we all remember and still love. Classic soft-rock tunes sung by talented artists before autotune existed and performed by musicians before the time of the machines. These songs make up the soundtrack of our youth. Yacht Rock has helped introduce these classics to new generations, and Yacht Rock Wines has partnered with these artists to create a new, wonderful line of wines that will satisfy a connoisseur’s palate, and be a wonderful addition to anyone’s wine collection. Baby Come Back Bubbly is the first to launch.
Tasting Notes
This unique grenache rosé sparkling wine offers fresh aromas of cherry and strawberry along with floral notes of rose petal. The prolonged skin contact resulted in a vibrant pink color. Its smooth texture is beautifully balanced by crisp natural acidity. This playful wine is rich, savory with a creamy long finish.

Winemaking Method
Our Baby Come Back Bubbly wines are crafted using time-honored méthode champenoise techniques. The cuvée, or base wine for this sparkler consists of 100% Grenache Noir, which was pressed and soaked on the skins for an extended period of time. The wine was then aged in stainless steel. The cuvée, along with a mixture of sugar, yeast and nutrients, was bottled in spring of 2019 for the second fermentation. After one-year en tirage, thawing was riddled and disgorged using state-of-the-art equipment. A small dosage was added before the sparkling wine was corked.
Tasting Notes
This Blanc de Noir displays a fine stream of bubbles and a faint touch of color from the pinot noir grape skins. Crisp, clean aromas of golden raspberry and kiwi mingle with inviting yeasty notes. On the palate, soft notes of star fruit and honeydew melon are enveloped in a nicely balanced texture with a remarkably creamy finish.

Winemaking method
The cuvée or base wine for this sparkling wine consists of 100% pinot noir grapes, which were barrel fermented in a combination of natural French and American oak barrels. The cuvée, along with a mixture of sugar, yeast and nutrients, was bottled for the second fermentation where it benefited from contact with the lees. The wine was then riddled and disgorged using state-of-the-art equipment. A small dosage was added before the sparkling wine was corked.
